Three defense contractors charged with defrauding the government

Three defense contractors are facing federal charges for defrauding the government.

The indictment charges John Sims, formerly of Niceville, George Cannady of North Carolina and Ronald Powers of Jacksonville with conspiracy, bribery, and theft, among other things.

Sims retired from the Air Force and later worked as a civilian employee for the service.
Prosecutors say he used his connections to provide insider information to Cannady and Powers and "Shaped the requirements" of contracts to benefit them.
