Education summit to address grades, common standards
Education leaders across the state will meet in Clearwater today for an education summit.
The school leaders and state lawmakers will discuss common core standards, school grades and teacher evaluations. The summit is designed to get school accountability back on track after a school grade dispute, resignation of education commissioner Tony Bennett and the adoption of common core.
"We want to get everyone together. We need to reinforce the idea we share the same goal."
