Corporate signs to go up on Blackwater Heritage Trail in Milton

MILTON   --  You will soon see ad's popping up along the Blackwater Heritage Trail in Milton.

That's because several state trails through out the state are getting "Corporate Advertising".

It's a plan thought up to keep the trails open during the "Great Recession".
Right now, the state office of Greenways and Trails is negotiating with potential vendors.

The department is being tight lipped over the negotiations, refusing to say who, or how much the signs would bring.

But they say the signs will be "tasteful".
"It's not a billboard, it's not something you'll see on a trail, that you'll be going down the tail and beautiful trees and suddenly there is this huge sign."

The state expects the signs to start going up between the middle of September and the middle of October.
