Sailing with W.A.V.E.

Nearly two-dozen boat captains will be taking Wounded Warriors and other veterans sailing this weekend.

The Pensacola Yacht Club and other organizations are putting on the "Wounded American Veterans Event," or "WAVE" for short.
They'll be serving lunch at Plaza de Luna and sailing from Palafox Pier in Downtown Pensacola.
The Fort Walton Beach Yacht Club hosted the event last year and they had sixty vets sign up.
This year they have room for a lot more.
Susan McKinnon/Commodore, Pensacola Yacht Club: "The outpouring of support has been very enriching. We have that wonderful problem where we've got lots and lots of boats and we are looking for the veterans to fill these boats to get them out on the bay."
The event is this Saturday.
If you're a veteran and would like to attend you're encouraged to register in advance at the Pensacola Yacht Club website.
