Tax dollars to provide money to television show Nashville
More money may soon be headed to the television show Nashville. Mayor Karl Dean's administration filed a bill that would provide state tax dollars to the show. But, in order for the money to go to the show the majority of the 13 episodes would have to be filmed in the music city. In return...The city would give the show half a million dollars. But not everyone likes the idea.
"Think of all the music related businesses in Nashville why don't we give them taxpayer money."
Ben Cunningham with the Tennessee Tax Revolt said it's wrong to give Nashville money and not other entertainment.
