Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Santa Rosa Island Authority appoints new Director of Administration

SANTA ROSA COUNTY   --  The Santa Rosa Island Authority now has a new Director of Administration.
Island Authority Executive Director Buck Lee and two other department heads have selected Robbie Schrock.
Schrock has worked with the SRIA for four years.
As the director, Schrock will oversee the responsibilities of lease management, personnel administration and insurance management.
Schrock replaces Russell Scarritt.
He was fired on July 16th after he was arrested on grand theft charges.
Scarritt is suspected of stealing 18,000 dollars worth of gold coins from Coin and Bullion of Pensacola.
