Government accountability office claims VA wasted millions

A federal agency has found yet another way to spend tens of millions of taxpayer dollars on nothing. According to new findings by the government accountability office -- the US Department of Veterans Affairs has wasted as much as $150 million in 2011 -- for medical services that were not delivered. Investigators say nearly 22,500 medical providers had little to do with providing care for veterans.
"Investigators found a number of health care providers that the VA was taking disciplinary action against, these were people that had done harm to veterans but they were still getting this performance based pay."
In the report, the VA agreed oversight was too lax. What steps are being taken to safeguard tax dollars and provide care to veterans?
