Former Crestview Major faces up to 30 years
CRESTVIEW -- Former Crestview Major Joseph Floyd faces up to 30 years in prison. Floyd was found guilty of racketeering. Police Chief Tony Taylor held a news conference promising he will restore the public trust in his department. He says they've already come a long way... And the Floyd trial was a learning experience. Taylor says the police department and the city now have an open door policy with not only officers but with the public as well.
"But, the transgressions of the few do not contaminate the determination of the law enforcement majority who are true public servants and hold sacred their oath to protect and serve their community."
Chief Taylor said more policy changes could come after he's finished reviewing all of the testimony from the Floyd trial.
