Escambia County Task Force for 4H Club future land purchases

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  A task force looking at potential future land for Escambia County 4-H has issued its findings in a report to a University of Florida dean.

The task force was created following the sale of the 240-acre Langley bell 4-H Center to Navy Federal Credit Union.
From the sale  1.6 million dollars was reserved for 4-H use under the guidance of UF and IFAS.
The report contains multiple detailed proposals about land and "non-land" purchase options to meet current and future 4-H needs.

The group looked at options that met the 4-H's animal science and outdoor education needs..
While complementing the new 4-H Center next to the Extension Office on Stefani Road.
Dean Nick Place will review the report and decide to act on the findings or ask the group to continue its research.
