Boat sinks off Galves Ramp in Intercoastal Waterway

INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY  --   The US Coast Guard spent most of the morning cleaning up fuel from the Intracoastal Waterway.

The boat sunk off the Galvas Boat Ramp last night.
Around 10-gallons of fuel spilt out of the vessel.

A crew contracted by the Coast Guard cleaned the fuel spill.
Most of the fuel was contained inside the boat and dry boom was placed around the vessel to absorb any other leakage.

The owner says he was sad to see the boat he just purchased take on water.
"The only way it could've sunk in less then ten minutes was for the exhaust tubes to rupture."

The incident is still under investigation.  Hartman plans to repair the boat as soon as possible.
