Naturalist and Culturalist from Kenya visits Pensacola

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  A naturalist and culturalist from Kenya is visiting Pensacola talking about life and wildlife in his country.

Francis Lenyakopiro was at the Gulf Breeze Zoo over the weekend and at Pensacola State College today.

His talks cover everything from the culture and religion of his people to the wildlife that lives in that part of Kenya.

His goal is to raise awareness about his tribe and to raise money for education.

Francis Lenyakopiro: "I love children, I love kids, and I don't like seeing them suffering. The only way I can help is starting up that small foundation to sponsor them to go to a high school, which is very expensive in Kenya."

If you'd like to hear him speak he's doing a public presentation at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition in downtown Pensacola, on Wednesday July 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
