Okaloosa job fair for veterans

And today is the day many veterans in our area will have the chance to find work.
The North Okaloosa County veteran's career expo opens up at  9 a.m. this morning.

36 employers will be taking applications and resumes until one o'clock this afternoon at the Crestview Community Center. And while it is aimed at veteran's and military families, It is open to everyone.

Employers include several aerospace companies, cox communications, the Okaloosa sheriff's office, region's bank, and much more. They suggest you bring several copies of your resume with you and dress like you actually want a job. Nearly two dozen veterans service organizations will also be on hand, to help job-seekers find programs and services available to them.... on and off a military base.

The career fair is sponsored by the workforce development boards of Okaloosa and Walton counties, and "jobs plus" career centers. It is free. You can find the Crestview Community Center at 1446 Commerce Drive.
