Panhandle in need of disaster assistance

Florida's governor  is asking for disaster assistance for panhandle counties damaged by flooding earlier this month.

Areas of the Florida panhandle received more than 12 inches of rain between July 2-7. That rain caused about $29 million in damage.
Okaloosa and Walton counties are among the five impacted. FEMA will review Governor Scott's request and advise President Obama on what to do.
