Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Florida.
Bio-pharmaceutical giant, Bristol Meyers Squibb, is opening a new center in Tampa Bay.
They are hoping to hire nearly 600 workers with an average salary of $65,000 dollars. The company is slated to start taking applications next month. The center is scheduled to open in january.
Florida's unemployment rate held strady in June at 71 percent. Local jobless numbers were not as positive.
Escambia County's unemployment rate jumped from 6.7 percent in May to 7.1 percent in June. Santa Rosa County is up from 6.4 percent to 6.7 percent.
Meanwhile Okaloosa County has the third lowest unemployment rate in the state at 4.8 percent.
