ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  A grant coming to the Montclair community will help first responders get to those in need faster.
If your driving throughout Montclair, it's common to see a mailbox with nothing on it. Like this one but its make it pretty hard to find where you are going
But now the county is proposing a way to make it obvious.

Mike Weaver has been in public safety for 23 years. He says many times the lack of street numbers have slowed them down.

We're searching house after house for any address, several of them don't have one at all...

That's why the county is  planning to use grant money to paint the street numbers on curbs all throughout Montclair.

The curbs are an easy place to find on a house, can save us seconds minutes when trying locate your home

And seconds could mean the difference between life and death.
Adrian Bailey was born and raised in the area and says it's long over due.

Not all the numbers are on our mailbox, our mailbox old, numbers faded off..
Rodney Beasely is all for it as well.  He just moved here and knows it's tough to find some addresses.

I be having a hard time finding places, I think its a wonderful idea.
The county is expected to approve it today.
