Niceville residents trying to catch unwanted guest

NICEVILLE   --  An unwelcome visitor is causing some problems at a Niceville neighborhood.

For about a month, a black bear has been hanging around Azalea Drive, going through trash and climbing up trees.

Florida Fish and Wildlife set up a trap in the neighborhood.
They attached a net with food-- like cat food, dog food, and doughnuts-- hoping it'll attract the bear.

Once the bear grabs the net, the door shuts and the bear has nowhere to go.
Residents here don't believe the bear is particularly dangerous-- but say he is a nuisance.

"They're more afraid of you, that's a little scary"
Once they catch the bear, they'll tranquilize it, run some genetic testing, and release it at the Eglin reservation.
