Baby dolphin born in Panama City marine park

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) -- A Panhandle marine park has a new addition to its family -- a baby bottlenose dolphin. And it's a girl.
Gulf World officials said the calf was born Thursday and is about three-feet long and weighs 30 pounds.
Park owner Dan Blasko said the calf does not yet have a name, but Gulf World will be taking suggestions from staff and guests in about a month.
The park has 13 bottlenose dolphins including the calf's mother Sandy.
The Panama City News Herald reports Sandy has been at Gulf World since 1989 and has given birth to several other calves. The newborn's father was on breeding loan from Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park.
Blasko said the calf is already learning from her mother how to navigate the park's pools.
