Navarre area plans for big Memorial Day weekend

NAVARRE   --  Beaches all along Northwest Florida are expecting big crowds for Memorial Day weekend.

Restaurants and shops say they've started seeing a good crowd coming in for the summer season...
So they have high expectations this Memorial Day weekend.

Crystal clear waters wash up against the white sands of Navarre Beach.
It's quiet and peaceful, that's its draw.

They've spent all week here.

No traffic you don't have to fight the restaurants for traffic and the local entertainment spots, so it's a really good place, we enjoy it

Many more are expected to enjoy it this weekend.
There's not many hotels on the island so many stay at condos.
Some property groups say they've booked all their rooms for the weekend faster than usual this year.

Weather is good and I think we're kinda coming out of the, the economy is getting better

It's mostly families and couples that are coming and staying.
Which means more customers for the local economy.

We spend the whole weekend getting the inventory in and merchandise, so all we're waiting on is the customers to show up

Visitors say they are looking forward to the weekend and make the most of everything Navarre Beach has to offer.
