Special Election results certified by board this morning

FLORIDA   --  This morning the Forida Elections Canvassing Commission certified the special election that took place in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties earlier this month.

In that primary election Tea Party Republican, Mike Hill won the primary seat for District 2 in the Florida House.
Hill had 42 % of the overall vote for the republican primary.
Hill will now face Democrat Jeremy Lau in the general election on June 14.
Lau ran unopposed in the special election.
"This is a process of officially certifying an election. Every election you have to certify it by statue member of the cabinet participated and that is a step for the 1st primary."

The winner of the general election will fill the vacancy left by Clay Ford who passed away earlier this year.
