Florida Medical Marijuana latest

FLORIDA   --  An update now on two bills dealing with marijuana use.
A bill that would make it illegal to sell bongs has passed in the Florida senate.

The Senate Criminal Justice Committee approved the bill unanimously yesterday.
State law now allows certain retailers to sell the pipes if at least 75 percent of their sales comes from tobacco products or if they have no more than 25 percent of "certain drug paraphernalia" sales.
The bill would make any sale a first-degree misdemeanor.

A Florida lawmaker sponsoring a bill to legalize medical marijuana now says it's likely the proposal's wont pass.
But, State Representative Katie Edwards said yesterday that she's not giving up the fight and will keep promoting the issue.
The bill would allow patients with certain medical conditions to use marijuana strictly for medicinal purposes under a doctor's supervision.
