Florida laws making it hard for ex-felon's rights to be restored
FLORIDA -- Civil liberties activists say Florida laws are the toughest in the nation when it comes to ex-felons voting.
They say it's so tough that hundreds of thousands of ex-felons that should be able to vote, can't.
They say rule changes under Governor Rick Scott are making it hard for ex-felon's rights to be restored even though they've completed their sentences, years ago.
Critics of the new rules believe many of those votes would be going to Democratic candidates and they say it's all politically motivated.
