Andrews Institute receives grant from Florida Defense Fund

GULF BREEZE   --  A state grant will help Wounded Warriors get specialized rehabilitation services in Northwest Florida.

The Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze received a 225,000 dollar Florida Defense Support Grant for its "Eagle Fund."

The program provides "Intensive Restoration Therapy" which combines performance training, physical therapy, and nutrition.

Brett Aldridge, Andrews Institute:
"The uniqueness of the Eagle Fund is that it specifically focuses on returning them back to active duty, back to the fight. It's the last mile of care."

The Andrews Institute set up the Eagle Fund two years ago.
This is the first time they've gotten a grant from the Florida Defense Fund.
