Shoplifter sprays pepper spray into faces of officers
ESCAMBIA COUNTY -- A Pensacola man is in jail this morning for multiple charges, including battery on a police officer.
Pensacola police say Jack Hoss was caught shop-lifting at the Walmart on Creighton Road, on Wednesday.
W
hen authorities tried to stop him, police say he used pepper spray to deter them.
According to an arrest report, Hoss sprayed two officers directly in the face.
Authorities chased him all the way to the parking lot of "Batteries Plus" on North 9th Avenue.
They say they found multiple stolen items on him including a smartphone and USB cord.
