YMCA and Community Maritime Park Association discuss lease options

PENSACOLA  --  In a long meeting where there was tons of questions the YMCA is one step closer to moving to the Maritime Park.

What happened today is the YMCA sat before the Community Maritime Park Association laying out the details of the lease that they want.
   
The new YMCA would be right next to the Bayfront Stadium. It would be a 10 million dollar state of the art facility that will be 40,000 square feet.

The lease will be for 40 years with the option to renew for another 40 years. The CMPA had tons of questions like has a feasibility study been done?     What about parking?   What will the building actually even look like?

But the YMCA says the first step is to start negotiating a sublease and nailing down a site. Once that's done they can start putting money toward the project and start answering those questions.

So what they are asking for is to start negotiating on a lease but you can bet that won't happen overnight due to so many opinions on the issues.
