Tropical Depression forms

TROPICAL DEPRESSION #2   The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph. This general motion with a gradual turn to the west is expected during the next two days. On the forecast track the center of the depression will be moving over the southern bay of Campeche on Wednesday and reach the coast on the state of Veracruz Wednesday night.

The system is not expected to come anywhere near the Channel 3 viewing area.

Pensacola man convicted of December robbery

PENSACOLA   --  A Pensacola man has been convicted for a robbery and high speed chase last December.

William Johnson was found guilty of robbing a Navy couple outside the Wellington Apartments then using their stolen credit card.
  
He later led officers on a chase that topped 100 miles per hour.
When deputies finally caught him.. they found the victim's ID card in his pocket and other stolen items in his car.

Johnson received the maximum sentence for each charge a total of 35 years in prison.
  
That's to run consecutive to an earlier sentence of 43-years for an attack on two nursing students in 2011
