Santa Rosa County brush fire fully contained
SANTA ROSA COUNTY -- A brush fire in Santa Rosa County is contained.
It started around two o'clock Wednesday afternoon on Mary Kitchens Road just south of I-10 in Milton.
The fire burned about 80 acres.
A few homes were threatened, but no damage was reported.
The Florida Forest Service says high winds and soggy ground made it tough to get to the fire.
Firefighters will remain on sight to put out any hot spots that flare up.
There's no word yet on a cause.
