You may think so based on a new survey by Rasmussen Reports.
They found that fewer than half of American adults feel connected to a national political party.
Republicans are more passionate about the connection than democrats are.
The poll found that 48% of adults in this country think they are at least somewhat connected to a national political party.
That includes just 17% who feel very connected.
Fifty-six percent (56%) don't feel that connection, including another 17% who don't feel connected at all.
