A delegation from Mobile also paid a visit to Escambia And Santa Rosa County Commissioners seeking support for a controversial Air Force Tanker Deal.

The president of the Mobile County Commission and a representative from Northrop Grumman both asked commissioners here to lobby support for their cause with Florida's congressional members.

Boeing is attempting to overturn the Air Force decision awarding a Northrop Grumman/Eads consortium with a lucrative aerial tanker contract..... Valued at anywhere between 35 and 100 billion dollars.

"There are moves out there now by Congress that are gonna try to thwart the funding, slow down the funding. And the only thing that would do is put the men and women who serve this great country in jeopardy. And that's the thing that we have to continue to stress."

The Government Accounting Office is currently reviewing the Northrop-Grumman/Eads deal.

The G-A-O is expected to release its findings by mid-June.
