CENTRAL FLORIDA - Investigators in Central Florida are digging through a woman's backyard in Orlando....looking for clues in the disappearance of her two-year old granddaughter.

Caylee Anthony disappeared more than a month ago...But was just reported missing this week.

Her grandmother is the one who finally called police.
The child's mother, Casey Anthony, told investigators she left the girl with a friend...

But, they haven't been able to find that woman.
A neighbor told authorities the mother borrowed a shovel a month ago.

An Orange County Sheriff's Department detective says they're still hoping to find the girl alive.

Sgt. John Allen Orange County Sheriff's Office: "I'm always optimistic. I think we're going to continue to work in hopes that we find her and we find her alive and safe and sound."

The mother is in custody for child neglect and providing false information to law enforcement.Missing Toddler
