• ANGELS IN OUR MIDST
I cried because I had no shoes, til I met a man who had no feet....

There are those people who are quiet reminders to the rest of us of just how blessed we are.

One woman's life is a message, especially to women, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Jane; I went through chemoterhapy and radiation and I was cancer free for nine years and then last September it came back.

Jane Madden is a two-time breast cancer survivor. She's still striking back against the disease and she is an inspiration for these women who will join her is the Bowl For The Cure Fundraiser.

Brenda Gilley, Jane's Friend; Jane's one of our biggest motivators. Knowing that she's been through breast cancer; knowing that she has gone through all of the pain and agony.
Not one time did she complain.

Jane has faced more than a few challenges in her life and she has handled them all with grace. She was born with cerebral palsy.

Jane; All my life I've been wither walking with crutches. I recently ended up in a wheelchair because I got to where I just couldn't walk any more.

She had to have a metal rod placed in her leg. Along with the breast cancer, she has been diagnosed with a non-malignant brain tumor...And just several years ago, she lost her daughter to leukemia.

Brenda; Jane is just somebody that inspires everyone of us. And, she makes me take not everyday for granted. She makes me think, this is a special day.

Jane gives that gift to many. Rhonda Sapp, the day manager at Oops Alley has just discovered a lump in her breast, this very day she's going to have it checked.

Rhonda Sapp, Being checked for cancer; She's a wonderful woman. Great; she's so positive; she's been through a whole lot. And to see people like that, deal with it and get through it, makes me just be positive.

Jane; I see no future in sitting down and giving up. You've got to keep trying.

Brenda; It's her faith in God that keeps her going. This girl has a strong faith and she realizes that there are things that are going to come in her life that only He and she can do. They can handle it together.

Jane; I just thank the good Lord for every day; giving me the ability to do what I can do.

We have a quick good news update to this story, Rhonda's lump turned out to be a cyst and she's doing fine.

You can register a team and Bowl For The Cure On October 21st at Deluna Lanes In Pensacola.

Be sure to tune in Wednesday at Five for the latest installment of "Buddy Check Three"
