ARIZONA - Senator John McCain is pushing for the F-35 fighter jet training site to come to Arizona.

The former presidential candidate told a crowd Tuesday that he is confident the contract will be awarded to Arizona.

The Air Force is conducting environmental impact analysis on three bases.
One will be selected as a secondary training base for the F-35's.

Those three are Eglin Air Force Base, Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, and Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.

Eglin is already the primary training site for the F-35.
If selected as the secondary site, it would have the entire training program.

March 14, 2010 13:09 EDT

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a teenage suspect was turned in by family members who recognized the 15-year-old in surveillance footage that was shown on a news broadcast.

According to the Tampa Police Department, the teenager's grandmother called his father and mother after spotting the released footage. The youth's parents then watched the broadcast.

The teen's father turned him in to the Tampa police on Friday night. The boy told investigators that he snatched a woman's purse on Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say three similiar incidents occured around the area earlier this year, but the teen denied any knowledge of those crimes.
