PENSACOLA, FL - Tonight we will know whether the city of Pensacola's form of government will change.

Channel Three's Laurie Bernstein is live at the Escambia Elections Office with the latest on the charter vote.

Foot traffic through the elections office is picking up steadily as the seven o'clock deadline approaches.

As of three, over a thousand ballots had been turned in today alone.

Supervisor of Elections David Stafford is expecting a 35 to 38 percent turn out rate when all things are said and done.

As to which way the vote will turn out is anybody's guess.

We talked to plenty of people who do want change and want the city to go in a different direction with a new charter.

But, there are a lot of people afraid of a strong mayor, who holds most of the decision power.

Polls close at seven pm.

Your ballot must be in the elections office at that time.

And results should be tallied by eight.

Stay tuned to Channel Three News at ten where we'll announce the outcome of the election. Outcome of Pensacola Charter Vote Will Be Announced Tonight
