PENSACOLA - Now an update to Wednesday night's accident in Fort Walton Beach...one of the two pedestrians hit by a car has died.

Police say Christina Cook and Johnathan Becker walked in front of a mini-van at the intersection of Mary Esther Boulevard and Gap Creek Road near Santa Rosa Mall.

Police say the driver of the van simply didn't see them.

Becker was able to make it safely to the median, but Cook was hit by a second mini-van.

Both were airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Cook died from her injuries.
