PENSACOLA, FL - If you tried to get anywhere by plane this morning chances are you didn' t make it on time.

Computer problems at the Federal Aviation Administration threw a monkey wrench into air travel nationwide including at Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport .
But as Channel Three's Bree Sison tells us, the glitch has been fixed.

Here at the ticket counters airlines have been answering questions for outgoing passengers all day. A lucky few made it through the computer blackout unscathed.

"I was anxious and see the family. We had a few hiccups along the way but everything worked out okay."

Shad Wynn is scheduled to deploy to Iraq. So after some training in Philadelphia this week, he wanted every minute he could get with his family. But news from his pilot said it might take longer than expected.

"He made an announcement before we started to taxi on the runway. He mentioned all the dropping of the information off the database."

Flight plans were dropped off FAA computers around 5 a-m and restored around 10 a-m. That meant air traffic controllers had to punch things in manually.

A lengthy process that left some waiting in the P-N-S terminal. One flight to Atlanta was canceled altogether but for the most part, delays were kept to an hour or less.
