FORT WALTON BEACH - Fort Walton Beach police were on the scene of an accident near Santa Rosa Mall.

Police say two pedestrians were hit.

Mary Esther cutoff closed from Beale to Wright Parkway.



We know that a male and a female were the pedestrians hit near the Santa Rosa Mall just after nine Wednesday night.

Their names or ages have not been released.

One was unconscious on the scene; the other was awake.

Both were taken by LifeFlight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

The Mary Esther cutoff is still closed from Beale to Wright Parkway.
