PERDIDO KEY - Baldwin County is under a curfew tonight until five in the morning.

But on the other side of the county line, Escambia County, Fla., has not issued one.

Both counties though have issued evaction orders for some residents.

Channel Three's James Jackson shows us if people in Perdido Key are listening to those warnings.

We're in the Perdido Sun parking lot, and as you can see, the wind and the rain have started to pick up.

If you take a look around you'll see there's no cars, which means people are heeding the warnings and if you look across the street area businesses are shut down.

The surf on the beach continues to get rough as Ida comes ashore.

County commissioners gave the order for residents of the key to evacuate Monday meaning it would be in their best interest to leave.

We saw a few people outside every now and then and an occasional car driving through the area.

We also saw lights flicker at some area businesses, so the storm is causing some power problems.

Some folks chose to ride this one out no matter how bad it gets.

Robert Tolasanti/Riding out the Storm, "I'm not really afraid of it. Been through a few of them and didn't expect it to be that bad like everybody said. A lot of media hype. Even if it was bad, we'll still rough it out."

Caroline Johnson/Riding out the Storm, "I didn't really have another place to go and I just wanted to be safe tonight. So I'm staying at my apartment and just having a good time. You know. Why not."

Fire fighters on the key have been pulled from the area back to the mainland.
