ESCAMBIA COUNTY - Homeless veterans and others in Escambia County are receiving some much needed help.
The Veterans' Administration and the county are holding a veterans stand down until 3pm this afternoon.
Veterans can get free health screenings, and local agencies are on hand to provide vocational training.
The veterans and others also received supplies such as jackets, socks, boots and even sleeping bags.
VA officials say there are 400 homeless veterans in our area.
