OKLAOOSA COUNTY - The ospreys are coming home.

The tilt-rotor aircrafts are expected to return to Hurlburt from their first operational deployment to southeast Asia sometime next week.

Hurlburt has the Air Force's only operational CV-22 osprey squadron.

The planes first arrived in January of 2007.

They are unique because the aircraft can take off and land vertically and hover like helicopters, but can also fly long-range missions like a turboprop aircraft.Osprey Planes Returning Home
