VALPARAISO - There was no resolution Wednesday in the city of Valparaiso's lawsuit against the U.S. Air Force.

City commissioners met in a private session Wednesday afternoon to talk about a possible settlement, but took no action.

The suit was prompted by concerns about noise from the new F-35 joint strike fighter, which is scheduled to start arriving at Eglin Air Force Base next spring.

Some Valparaiso leaders say jet noise could destroy their city.

In June, both parties agreed to put the lawsuit on hold and begin settlement talks.

The city attorney says it will now be at least six weeks before any action is taken. No F-35 Action From Valparaiso Commission Meeting
