MILTON, FL - This week, you'll have a chance to learn more about the state's plans to demolish a historic bridge near Milton.

The Florida Department Of Transportation wants to tear down the Marquis Bayou Bridge on Highway 90.

They want to build a new bridge, about 50 feet south of the existing span.

But, members of "Main Street Milton" and many residents say the 72-year-old bridge is a landmark and they do not want it torn down.

On Thursday, the public can see F-DOT's plans and ask questions about the project.

Teen turned in after family sees him on news

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a teenage suspect was turned in by family members who recognized the 15-year-old in surveillance footage that was shown on a news broadcast.

According to the Tampa Police Department, the teenager's grandmother called his father and mother after spotting the released footage. The youth's parents then watched the broadcast.

The teen's father turned him in to the Tampa police on Friday night. The boy told investigators that he snatched a woman's purse on Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say three similiar incidents occured around the area earlier this year, but the teen denied any knowledge of those crimes.
