PENSACOLA - Massive renovations are underway at the old Masonic Lodge in Downtown Pensacola in preparation for a new concert venue.
The Vinyl Music Hall is expected to open up next spring.
It's a joint project of the Levin Group and the owners of Hopjacks Pizza.
Crews have started removing a lot of the old concrete and paneling from the building. It will have a stage and full bar.
The owners plan to book national and regional acts that currently drive right past us.
"Capitalize on the I-10 corridor, because there are a lot of acts moving from the east of Florida across to New Orleans and they miss Pensacola because we don't have the proper venue."

Park visitor hits Disney employee with car in ride

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A Walt Disney World employee has been taken to a local hospital following a crash at a park attraction.
Disney spokesman Bryan Malenius said the employee was struck by a car that was part of the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway ride Sunday afternoon. The car was being driven by a park guest.
Bo Jones, of the Reedy Creek Fire Department, said the employee sustained leg injuries when he stepped in front of one of the vehicles on the ride's track. Jones said the employee was transported to an Orlando hospital with injuries that weren't considered life threatening or critical.
The ride closed temporarily but was able to reopen later in the day.
The employee's name wasn't immediately released.
