PENSACOLA - Gulf Power will be using a new scrubber system...That they say will reduce emissions at the Crist Plant in Pensacola.
They will begin using that system next year and say that their regulated emissions will be cut by 95 percent, compared to 19-92 levels.
The system extracts pollutants from emissions before they come out of the smoke stacks.
Gulf Power will show Channel Three News how it will divert its treated wastewater to the new ECUA plant under construction in Cantonment.
That will make the Crist Plant a zero discharge facility.
The company is holding a tour of its new systems right now.
