CRESTVIEW, FL - One brother is dead, another is in jail, and a third is wanted by police after a shooting last night in Crestview.

28-year-old Eddie Rice is a suspect in the murder of his half-brother, Jeffrey Brown.

Police say he's armed and dangerous.

30-year-old Jasper Brown was arrested and charged with an open count of murder.

Channel Three's Laura Hussey spoke to family members today.

Family members paint a picture of a typical cool fall night here on Savage Street in Crestview. A bunch of people were gathered by the burn barrel back there just talking and visiting. One of those people was 35-year-old Jeffrey Brown.

Laporsha Baker/Niece, "He loved everybody, kept a smile on his face, a lil' bright smile."

The smile is what Jeffrey Brown's family and friends want to remember. Not the way he died.

Laporsha "It was a shock. I couldn't believe it, and I still can't."

Kim Baker/friend, "He died the wrong way, 'specially in the hands of his brother. That was very wrong."

Police say Brown's two half-brothers, Eddie Rice and Jasper Brown, arrived carrying guns about eight o clock Sunday night.

Brown's 17-year-old niece, Wilma, ran inside.

Wilma, "40 seconds later I heard the gun go off. So I go outside and I see Eddie come from under Jeffrey. He was so close to him that when he shot him, Jeffrey fell on him and they both hit the ground."

The family says Jasper and Eddie were angry because Jeffrey refused to get involved in their disagreement with another man.

Dozens of people showed up at the hospital where Jeffrey Brown was pronounced dead.

Michelle, his companion of fourteen years, was too distraught to speak on camera.

She cried quietly while others remembered.

Wilma, "That man had a smile so big. Pretty big white smile."

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Crestview Police or Emerald Coast Crimestoppers at 850-863-TIPS.Investigators Searching For Crestview Murder Suspect: Believed To Be Armed & Dangerous

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their daughter Ella Bleu Travolta greeted hundreds of fans on the red carpet Friday. The family expressed their appreciation to the community, ending their thanks with: "Love you, Ocala."

In January, 16-year-old Jett Travolta died at the family vacation home in Grand Bahamas.

The private gala raised money for five nonprofit agencies selected by Travolta: The Jett Travolta Foundation, Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council, Project Hope, the Marion County Public Safety Assistance Trust, and the Humane Society of Marion County.

About 150 tickets at $250 apiece were sold to the general public, and the gala also had private invitations.
