NAS WHITING FIELD - A helicopter from Whiting Field made a hard landing this afternoon in Santa Rosa County.
The TH-57 Ranger came down in an open field near the Blackwater River Forest around 2 o'clock.
Santa Rosa Sheriff's deputies say the two people on board are okay and walked away from the crash.
Both were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
The chopper belongs to Whiting's Training Wing Five.
