BREWTON - The man shot to death while trying to break into an Escambia County, Alabama home had an accomplice.

It's an update to a story we first told you about on Monday.

24-year-old Hunter Madden has been charged as an accessory in the home invasion at Ralph and Shirley Burkett's house on Highway 31.

That's just north of Brewton, Alabama.

Deputies say Madden drove Jeremy McCall to the Burkett's home early Monday morning.

McCall was shot to death by Ralph Burkett after threatening the couple with a gun.

Investigators believe Madden watched from nearby as law enforcement and an ambulance arrived.

The shooting will be presented to a grand jury, but the sheriff does not believe the homeowner will be charged.Brewton Home Invader Had an Accomplice
