EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE - First Lady Michelle Obama visits Eglin Air Force Base today.

The White House says Mrs. Obama's trip is part of her outreach to military families.
Laura Hussey has more from Eglin.

Right now we're at the Air Force Armament Museum, which is just outside the main gate of Eglin Air Force Base. All of our equipment is about to go on for a Secret Service inspection. This is well in advance of Mrs. Obama's actual arrival....she's not expected until mid-afternoon. At that point she's in for a very busy two or three hours.

The focus of her visit being on family issues, she's expected to take part in a discussion with staffers from the Airman and Family Readiness Center, that's a major support organization for families here on base. Then, military families will be represented in a receiving line as Mrs. Obama enters Hangar 103. That's where she's scheduled to give a speech for about a thousand people.

This afternoon, then she's on her way back to DC.

We'll have continuing coverage for you, live coverage starting out this afternoon on Channel Three News First at Four.
For now, from Eglin Air Force Base, Laura Hussey, Channel Three News.

That visit is *not open to the public...
But..Channel Three News will bring you live coverage of Michelle Obama's visit beginning on "First at Four".
