ATMORE, AL - After several days on the run, a man charged with a murder eight years ago surrendered to authorities...
Escambia County, Alabama sheriff's deputies say the father of 42 year old Bruce Day called the sheriff to his Atmore home.
That's where Sheriff Grover Smith says Day surrendered.
Day had been on the run since Tuesday..
Authorities were ready to arrest him at a construction site near the Crist Power Plant In Escambia County Florida. But he ran into the woods before they got there.
Day is accused of killing 25 year-old Woodrow "Token" Allen Of Perdido, Alabama.
Allen disappeared and hasn't been seen since December 2001.
That was right before he was scheduled to testify against day... As a victim in an attempted murder case.
Suspect Turned Self In
