PENSACOLA, FL - The local chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference is speaking out for the still un-named victim.

At a press conference today, SCLC leaders said they are seeking a full review of the incident by the U.S. Justice Department.

They hope the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will do a thorough investigation into the actions of Pensacola Police Officer Jerald Ard.

"Two questions, one, how did the chase start, and why not give him medical attention. Certainly we will be reviewing the use of deadly force."

Bennett is referring to the fact that the victim's body was left at the scene for hours after the accident instead of being taken to a hospital.

They also want the use of the taser to be reviewed.

Back in 2005, the SCLC organized a march in Pensacola to protest the improper use of tasers by local law enforcers.SCLC Reaction To Fatall Accident During Police Chase

LA Toyota dealer settles lawsuit
March 10, 2010 20:16 EST

CERRITOS, Calif. (AP) -- A suburban Los Angeles Toyota dealer has settled a civil lawsuit over statements allegedly made to convince customers to lease rather than buy vehicles.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Wednesday that Power Toyota Cerritos agreed to pay $172,000 in penalties and costs without admitting liability.

An investigation by the California Department of Motor Vehicles found that the dealer falsely advised customers that they did not qualify for a loan or that it was in their best financial interest to lease.

Prosecutors say the practice resulted in greater commission for the sales staff involved and higher prices for customers.

Power Toyota Cerritos is owned by Mr. Wheels Inc., headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
