Followup on High School Brawl
CRESTVIEW - An update now on a story Channel Three first broke for you Tuesday. We now know three of the juveniles involved in an altercation at Crestview High School Monday night were Niceville football players.
It happened in a parking lot, after a girls' basketball game between Crestview and Fort Walton Beach.
Students say a rivalry between Crestview, Fort Walton Beach and Niceville High students set it off.
Five juveniles were arrested, but the Niceville head football coach and athletic director says his players were never physically involved.
"There was different levels of involvement, I hope all the kids involved don't get painted with the same brush."
The three Niceville players were punished by the school for their roles in the verbal altercation.
One of those players was suspended for a day.
Okaloosa County Superintendent Alexis Tibbits says another student from Niceville was also suspended, along with three students from Crestview.Followup on High School Brawl
