Firefighters Training At Pensacola Airport
PENSACOLA - Pensacola firefighters are putting out blazes at the airport.
They're conducting fire drills at the Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport.
The fire department from NAS Pensacola brought in a special training device.
They lit it on fire to simulate an airplane crash.
Firefighters are trying to quicken and better their response, to make aviation travel in Pensacola safer.
The annual training is a requirement by the FAA for the training of aircraft rescue and firefighting personnel assigned to the airport.
